TTS tip of the Day: disable "sticky" to move underneath objects
Tabletop Simulator is a powerful and sometimes frustrating platform. With that power comes some complexity and a lot of features that may not be obvious. This series highlights some features in TTS that you may or may not be familiar with.
In analog board games there are lots of times when you have a component that you need to move but that component is under another component. In the real world it's usually not a big deal because you can use two hands to easily manipulate the components. But in TTS you only have a single "hand", so this situation can be annoying.
The solution is to turn off the Sticky attribute for the object that is underneath other objects. Right-click on the object and choose Toggles > Sticky. When you grab an object that has Sticky turned off, any objects on top of it will stay where they are! This is a great solution for score markers on a score track, or cards that have things placed on top of them, or any other situation where you need to grab an object that has other objects on top of it.
